Yoga & Pilates Plate Strength Workshop
We are excited to announce this unique Yoga & Pilates Plate Strength Workshops. Little Buddhas Yoga's & Moving Strength's Plate Strength Sequences will be taught along with an introduction to the science and benefits of Whole Body Vibration using Personal Power Plates.
This workshop combines the Whole Body Vibration Power Plate Orientation with Little Buddhas Yoga's Yoga Plate Strength Sequencing and Moving Strength's one of kind Pilates Plate Strength Sequencing . It will provide an introduction to Whole Body Vibration (WBV) and the science based evidence that has made Power Plates the industry leader in this category. The Power Plates education is inspired by Applied Functional Science (AFS)® powered by Gray Institute®. Little Buddhas Yoga's distinguishing Yoga Flow was designed for movement along with the integration of Moving Strength's specially designed Pilates Plate Strength workout which combines classic Pilates exercises with the scientific elements of WBV. This workshop will provide an overall introduction to WBV and have you moving and flowing learning Yoga poses, flowing, and Pilates excercises. No experience required as this is an all levels workshop taught by Little Buddhas Yoga owner, Mary E. Wright. Modifications will be provided as well as hands-on instruction and assist will occur during the workshop.
Whole Body Vibration is engineered to activate the body's natural reflexive response to vibration. Moving at 25 to 50 times per second, the muscles engage in a consistent and controlled manner, resulting in accelerated training, allowing anyone to reach their fitness goals faster and more efficiently. Yoga Plate Strength creates the ultimate class for those looking to "step-up" their Yoga Practice for quicker, more efficient results. Class includes warmup, abdominal sequence, Yoga Flow, Balancing Postures, Restorative, and final relaxation. The combination of Yoga Breathing, Movement, Whole Body Vibration, Strengthening, Stretching, & Relaxing creates a one of kind experience!
Pilate Plate Strength
Pilates Plate Strength is Moving Strength's specially designed workout combining classic Pilates exercises with the scientific elements of the Whole Body Vibration. Utilizing Pilates equipment and mat exercises designed by Joseph Pilates to improve flexibility, build strength and develop control and endurance in the entire body, Pilates Plate Strength creates the ultimate workout for those looking to "step-up" their exercise regime for faster, more efficient results; athletes (amateur and professional) who are desiring better sports results and/or may need rehabilitation, and the mature fitness enthusiast looking to stay healthy and prevent the negative effects of aging on their body.
Trakat: Meditation on Light
Tratak Meditation is soft gazing at a light source, such as a flame, the moon, a star, a mountain peak, a tree top, a flower, without blinking until the eyes tear.According to Ayurvedic medicine, the pineal gland begins loosing it's potentiality and function around the age of twelve or so.
Tratak Meditation re flowers, re blossoms The Third Eye aka The Pineal and accentuates it's originality. The re empowering of the pineal gland is a vanguard to over all good emotional and physical health. This mediation class can be an incredible way to further your yoga practice. MUKTI MICHAEL BUCK
Mukti is the Founder and Director of the Vedic Conservatory which as of 2013 includes ten excellently qualified instructors hand picked and certified by Mukti. Mukti is a graduate of the notable Lek Chaya, ITM and Sunshine Schools in Chiang Mai, Thailand and regularly hosts student study tours to Thailand. Mukti is also a certified instructor for Thai Healing Alliance International T.H.A.I. Mukti has initiated certification to over twenty thousand students in nine countries and documents teaching over 1000 hours every year since 1996.
The MEDICINE CIRCLE is an ancient healing practice that has been a vital part of communities all over the world. In this circle we play drums and other percussion instruments with the clear intention of healing ourselves and others. The circle includes three rounds:
- The first round is a release of those things which no longer serve our higher self.
- In the second round we invite new manifestations into our life that we want to create and enjoy.
- In the final round we focus the energy of the circle wherever it is needed. To a loved one or group people. Maybe to a situation in our lives or a part of the Earth that needs healing.
No musical experience is needed to enjoy this medicine circle. Drums and small percussion instruments will be provided, however anyone is welcome to bring their own instruments. Medicine Circle meets monthly on the 3rd Sundays 5:30-7:00pm. Cost is $20/person or $30/family.
Buckley Griffis is a world percussionist who has been playing music and teaching drumming for over thirty years. From the Bolivian Andes and Amazon rainforest to a small fishing village in northern Quebec Canada, Buckley has worked with people from birth to ninety years old. He has a BA. in Phycology and a master degree in education. His primary intention in the drum circle is healing and self-awareness. These goals are central to all of Buckley’s programs for both children and adults.

TRE is a somatic restoration technique that releases deeply held body tension and accumulated stress by “shaking it off”. Our bodies are built to protect us from stress, and shaking is the body’s recovery process. TRE is a series of simple stretches that invites the body to naturally shake, whereby releasing body tension, restores balance to body systems and builds resiliency for life’s stresses.
TRE is not recommended for women who are pregnant.
