MUKTI MICHAEL BUCK

Mukti is the Founder and Director of the Vedic Conservatory which as of 2013 includes ten excellently qualified instructors hand picked and certified by Mukti. Mukti is a graduate of the notable Lek Chaya, ITM and Sunshine Schools in Chiang Mai, Thailand and regularly hosts student study tours to Thailand. Mukti is also a certified instructor for Thai Healing Alliance International T.H.A.I. Mukti has initiated certification to over twenty thousand students in nine countries and documents teaching over 1000 hours every year since 1996.


DANCE FREE

Dance Free is a dance expression workshop facilitated by Jo-Ann Radus. This series of workshops presented at Little Buddhas Yoga Studio will be every month on the new moon. The energy of the new moon gives us an opportunity to start fresh and plants seeds for the future. Dance Free will provide space for us to explore the influences of the new moon and allow us to set our intentions and goals for the upcoming month.

Kundalini Yoga

Medicine/Drum Circle & FAMILY YOGA

The MEDICINE CIRCLE is an ancient healing practice that has been a vital part of communities all over the world. In this circle we play drums and other percussion instruments with the clear intention of healing ourselves and others. The circle includes three rounds after a 30 min yoga practice.

  1. The first round is a release of those things which no longer serve our higher self.

  2. In the second round we invite new manifestations into our life that we want to create and enjoy.

  3. In the final round we focus the energy of the circle wherever it is needed. To a loved one or group people. Maybe to a situation in our lives or a part of the Earth that needs healing.

No musical experience is needed to enjoy this medicine circle. Drums and small percussion instruments will be provided, however anyone is welcome to bring their own instruments.

BUCKLEY GRIFFIS

Buckley Griffis is a world percussionist who has been playing music and teaching drumming for over thirty years. From the Bolivian Andes and Amazon rainforest to a small fishing village in northern Quebec Canada, Buckley has worked with people from birth to ninety years old. He has a BA. in Phycology and a master degree in education. His primary intention in the drum circle is healing and self-awareness. These goals are central to all of Buckley’s programs for both children and adults.

Manifesting your Dreams into Reality is a 4 week 90 minute workshop series. Lecture and education, movement to include yoga and mediation as well as guided visualizations and personal development using journaling, self-reflection and more. This will be an all encompassing workshop including mind, body and spirit to really learn how to Dream & Achieve all that you desire!

Victoria Burgess is no stranger to the hectic life of juggling many things. Growing up in South Florida, as a child she was exposed to many activities at a very young age. Her experience in multi-involvement and success in such has led her to the lifestyle she currently leads today. Victoria has been working for the fire department full time for the last 15 years. She is a certified sports nutritionist (CISSN) and has recently taking an additional position as the sports nutritionist for an international online training program platform, Paddle Monster. Additionally, she has been an extremely competitive athlete in the standup paddleboard and surf scene for the last 5 years. Most recently, in June 2018, she set a Guinness Book of World Record being the first female to attempt and cross the Straits of Florida, 115 miles from Cuba to Key West, non stop 27 hours and 48 minutes. While she was working full time and training for such a feat, she was also working on completing her PhD in Health and Human Performance (set to be completed summer 2019). Victoria is extremely active in the community, as a head coach for the Broward County Special Olympics SUP team, the President of the South Florida Longboard Association and event director of the biggest ocean race series in Florida (the RK Sunshine SUP Series). Her accomplishments and understanding of how to reach and achieve goals in a realistic manner has led her to have the opportunity to speak at several events on motivation and achieving your dreams.

Mary E. Wright began Yoga 21 years ago while seeking a path to meditation. She wanted to learn to sit in stillness and Yoga allowed her the space to sit physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually in quiet meditation. She had always been an athlete as a child and an extremely physically active adult. Teaching her Fun & Tumble Gymnastics Program since 1992 both recreational and competitive Gymnasts in Kansas, Germany, Washington State, Texas and now Florida has been a fundamental part of her life, teaching and impacting children’s lives.

Mary returned to college and pursued several degrees in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Miami. She was a published researcher while receiving her BS, MS and was honored a full Fellow for her Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering. Her life shifted from an academic track to a full time career as a wife and mother during this time embracing some personal tragedies. 

Charging a new life as a single mother 6 years ago she began a home based studio teaching kids yoga and gymnastics. During this time she became a daily YOGINI having a committed daily practice and picked up her surfboard all of which emerged a Sunshine Mary. The combination of yoga and surfing taught me that loving and taking care of myself allows me to completely be there for myself and others, as a mother, sister, teacher and friend.

Little Buddhas Yoga(named after my two Buddhas) emerged in 2014 & is now in a beautiful studio located in downtown Oakland Park. Mary E. Wright is now certified and teaches Yoga, Pilates, Power Plates (Whole Body Vibration), Fitness (TRX & CrossCore), Healthy MOMS Perinatal Trained, Vedic Thai Yoga Bodywork & Massage, and Mediation & Visualization. Her commitment and love of movement is what drives her today! As Mary’s dreams have changed so has her paths, she is an excellent example that anything is possible. “I love what I do and I see the body as an engineered structure in which I can help to create, maintain and find your fullest potential physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.”
