Pilates Power Plate

This training combines the Power Plate Orientation and Moving Strength's one of kind Pilates Plate Strength Sequencing.  It will provide an introduction to Power Plate (Whole Body Vibration) and the science based evidence that has made Power Plates the industry leader in this category. The Power Plates education is inspired by Applied Functional Science (AFS)® powered by Gray Institute®. Moving Strength's specially designed Pilates Plate Strength workout combines classic Pilates exercises with the scientific elements of Whole Body Vibration (WBV). The training will give the Pilates teacher the tools to utilize the WBV with the combined Pilates equipment and mat exercises designed by Joseph Pilates which will improve flexibility, build strength and develop control and endurance in the entire body.

WBV is engineered to activate the body's natural reflexive response to vibration. Moving at 25 to 50 times per second, the muscles engage in a consistent and controlled manner, resulting in accelerated training, allowing anyone to reach their fitness goals faster and more efficiently. Power Plate users lose twice as much fat over six months compared to those using simple fitness and diet alone.

The Pilates and WBV methods are symbiotic, and the combination of the two creates a unique and powerful exercise regime. The Teacher Training Course will teach: the science behind Power Plates, Pilates techniques adapted to Power Plate, queuing for students through 25-30 minutes workouts successfully, combinations of tested sequences of Classical Pilates exercises, alternative classes for Plate Strength, and the Teacher will leave with a fresh new set of tools to empower their clients.

The CIJ Clarity Catalyst is an awe-inspiring course focusing on mindfulness and emotional intelligence. Based upon methodology first taught at Stanford University’s famed Creativity in Business Course, the 8-week program is designed to take you on a profound journey into unearthing your creativity, decreasing your stress, and developing a happy life-work balance. Using practical tools and techniques proven in business and in life for 35+ years, your Catalyst trainer will empower you to authentically live your best life and tap into new found creativity, balance, and peace.

THE COURSE

The Clarity Catalyst is a process for tapping into one's full creative potential to create breakthrough results on a personal or professional challenge or goal. This mindfulness and emotional intelligence program was developed by Dr. Michael Ray in 1979 and based on proven methods from his Creativity in Business work at Stanford and in corporations.

This program is designed to get you from where you are to where you want to be. The program will cover one topic per week for a period of 8 weeks. You will learn and apply the 8 lessons of the Stanford course by working with Clarify Catalyst trainer Laurie Stone, who will guide you in a process of developing a daily mindfulness practice to decrease stress both at home and in the workplace, use the practical tool box to unearth new creativity and passion at work, become a more confident and effective communicator, and apply the powerful practices to create a happier more fulfilled life.

Most of the learning in this program does not require dedicated time, but rather attention and practice to integrate new ideas into day- to-day activities. This is not something separate from your personal and professional day to day, but rather a much more powerful way to go about your day to day.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE AND THEMES

The first 4 weeks are spent on building a foundation in essential tools for creativity:

• Week 1: Faith in Your Own Creativity: Cultivating The Creative Process

• Week 2: Absence of Judgment: Cultivating Compassion

• Week 3: Mindfulness: Cultivating Present Moment Awareness

• Week 4: Powerful Questions: Cultivating Intuition

The next 4 weeks are spent on going more deeply into the tools as you apply them to four general work/life challenges:

• Week 5: Creative Vision: Cultivating Innovation

• Week 6: Time and Stress: Cultivating Inner Peace

• Week 7: Conscious Communication: Cultivating Responding VS Reacting

• Week 8: Bringing Your Creativity into your Culture: Cultivating Collaboration

In addition to the specific weekly topics, the program is organized around 2 themes:

1. Discovering yourself, your creative resources and your highest potential

2. Applying the mindfulness and emotional intelligence lessons to make significant progress on creating a peaceful and well-balanced way of living

Finally, the program culminates with a powerful last class that has everyone tap into their greatest creative resources.

Laurie Stone is a Certified CIJ Clarity Catalyst Trainer (since 2014), a certified RYT200 Yoga Instructor, and a motivator who gets people thinking outside of their box. A graduate of Georgetown University, a wife, a mother, a research consultant for a startup device company, and a believer that we must live out our dreams and truest desires. By combining her cosmopolitan upbringing with her strong spiritual background alongside her business knowledge and creative expertise: certain life events, including a personal battle with a serious illness, her hope is to inspire and motivate others to live a beautiful, fun, and purposeful life!

Healthy Moms Perinatal Teacher Training

This 1 day course covers very detailed information in a user-friendly format. You will discover the benefits, risks, and overall effects of exercise in relation to each phase of the perinatal period. Then, you get to experience it all first-hand in the practical application component which includes many stability ball exercises from the Resist-a-Ball C.O.R.E. progam, “Prenatal with Resist-a-Ball” Specialty Course.

Vedic Thai Yoga Massage & Bodywork

The Two Day Instructional Presentation provides the participant with valuable education including:

  • Basic techniques and theories which provide the student with a 1.5 hour treatment protocol including fundamental lessons in supine, side lying, seated and prone positions.
